Savoring January - Day 6 - Now

With it being Epiphany,
today is all about the fellas.

So grateful for their annual reminder to follow the Light.

🌠

Air Fryer experiments are still going well!

Delivery man was kind and helpful
so that was nice.

Savouring January - Day 4 - Dream

My new air fryer cooks up grilled ham and Swiss sandwiches
(with a sprinkling of poppy seeds like Moma used to make)
like a dream!

A perfect lunch on this cold, blustery day.

It's based on a recipe from l-o-n-g ago when I was a little girl.
Back then the local gas company would put on a cooking show
and hand out little books with recipes in it,
including the ones they had just demonstrated.

The original recipe called for making a spread
of mustard, butter, grated onion and poppy seeds.
Today I just smear both insides of my bread with a little mayo,
top that with a thin layer of yellow mustard,
and sprinkle both sides generously with poppy seeds.

As you probably can imagine,
the poppy seeds add a bit of yummy crunch.

Delish!

Santa Brought Me an Air Fryer

Playing with my new toy.

 Grilled cheese sandwiches?
 Yummy!

Up next: homemade French fries

They were good too!

Shutter Happy ~ Day 16 ~ A Treat

Having long enjoyed watching cooking shows,
I was delighted when Valerie Bertinelli started one.

Her playful sense of humor
and welcoming way
makes spending time in her kitchen with her
a real treat.

Operation Butternut Squash

Starting a family favorite in the welcomed company of a lit candle reminding me of
Grace and those on my heart, a cute pilgrim couple to share smiles with, and my dear,
always-faithful kitchen angels gently reminding me that they are always,
always
close by, still loving and watching over me. .

Blessed be.

Autumn Ambrosia

I've been playing with my pressure cooker again!

Perfect late Sunday afternoon snack. This Old Gal's recipe for yogurt topped with her
oh-So-delicious Dutch Apple Compote and a drizzle of caramel sauce (sweet tooth here!)
with a granola bar dipper for crunch.

Ahhh.... Feels like fall!

Yay!

Grinning because a woman in one of my pressure Coker groups is calling us "Pot Heads".

(I like it!)

😉
