Armfuls of Time

Rediscovered this book today.

And,
man-oh-man,
was it exactly perfect timing.

Blessed be.

Savouring January - Day 11 - Thoughts

Sometimes I don’t even know what I think
until I start writing.

Taking the time to put pen to paper
(or fingers to keyboard)
often helps me to untangle
what’s going on inside of me.

Having a lit candle nearby
reminds me that this really is prayer
and that I am never alone
when I pour out my heart on the page.

I am deeply grateful for my journal,
my trusted, faithful friend and witness.

Blessed be.

Remembrance - Day 24 of 40

Gentle witnesses
like steady runway lights
on this misty gray, late autumn morning
illuminate the way through the damp chill.

Their soft twinkling
encouraging me to stay close
to the task at hand
brings welcomed warmth and deep, contented sighs.

A morning miracle of Peace?

 Yes.

Blessed be.

August Break :: 5 Years Ago

Capturing my heart from the start,
my sweet niece arrived on January 26, 2011.

She has already gifted me with oodles and oodles
(and oodles!)
of warm memories and
I will always treasure this shared, quiet moment
after her baptism in particular.

The whole time I held her,
my precious blonde angel
kept looking up at me,
her beautiful blue eyes
wide and rarely blinking.

And with all of the love overflowing from my heart,
I met and held her sweet baby gaze
and kept looking right back at her
for as long as she wanted.

Ah, such a holy, cherished moment, this one.

Is there such a thing as love at first sight?

Yes.

Oh, *heavens* yes.

Seeing and Being With the Truth

Yesterday was a *tough* day at work.

Today I had a dental appointment and I'm smiling because that was actually a blessing. I *love*
my hygienist! She's such a warm, caring, and kind person. And today? She was also a gentle tear catcher, attentive listener, and willing hugger, so it was such a gift to spend time with her.

(The good report was nice as well.)

Before I was called back to see her, I took a moment to still and Water My Soul by truly seeing myself, rough edges and all, in their bathroom mirror.

(And so grateful that today was a much better day. ♥ )
