To Bless the Space Between Us . . .

This tender photo touches me so
and has become quite a guiding light
and touchstone for me, too.

How do I let go of a painful situation?

This is how...

Stand calmly, quietly in my truth,
knowing what I know.

Instead of expecting and aching
for what they can't/won't give
(for whatever reasons that might be),
choose to let it be by
sending love and warmth
(as best I can in each moment).

Shine in your own little space in the night sky,
dearest one,
all while blessing the space between us.

Help me, Mama?
Right here, Baby Girl.

Yes.

Blessed be.

Shutter Happy ~ Day 10 ~ Prized Possession

This sweet little angel was a delightful surprise
from Darlin' Hubby a few Valentine's Days ago.
Seeing her on the card shop's shelf,
he thought she might be a perfect accompaniment
to his annual promise of roses.

I have cherished her ever since
and she has become my teacher.
I love the way she just quietly stands in her place and shines.

She doesn't overextend or underextend.
She simply, peacefully offers what she has,
trusting it is enough.

Breadcrumbs

Over here I'm being serenaded by froggie hymns and hubby snores.

The sun has set and my twinkle lights,
which I haven't turned on in a l-o-n-g time,
my beloved circle of angel Grace,
and the jar of cheerful silk sunflowers

are quietly,

gently

reminding me to b-r-e-a-t-h-e

while leaving breadcrumbs for me,
reminding me of my way Home.

.    .    .    .    .

While not my favorite thing ever,
I'm intentionally reminding myself
that it's ok to wake up and find myself in Indiana
(once again).

I really do know my way Home
and, just as I have so many times before,
I'm slowly thawing and remembering
that I really can and will find my way again.

Just be here, sweet soul.

Amen.
(Because it feels like a prayer)

Follow Grace . . .

. . . with my face,

(Just like a beautiful Sunflower does.)

Gentle Reminder to Self

The back of my new mug says,
"Offer whatever light you can."

Smiling warmly as I share that it's my Hope that this cute, quirky kitty
will be good company for me and my word for 2017,
Grounded,
in the coming year (and beyond).

Grateful for some quiet time to write
this morning and listen well to my heart.

Grounding myself in the truth
of where I am in this moment
by exploring and acknowledging
what light I truly am able to offer right now
"for fun and for free"
(so with no expectations or obligations attached.)

Blessed be.

August Break 2015 :: Art

Lighthouses have special meaning for me
and this one at St. Augustine, FL
is my very favorite one.

When I saw this beautiful piece,
drawn by a local artist,
during our last trip there a couple of months ago,
it was love at first sight.

It now hangs in a place of honor
in our home
where I can see it from right here in my chair.
