Yes, hot cross buns, Marcie. They are a simple cinnamon bun with raisins tucked inside and crossed with an ordinary powdered sugar icing. This modest tradition is one I've observed and practiced all of my life...which is where the treasuring and deep meaning comes in for me. <3
