Cheerful little heart anchor, happy to companion me
wherever I sit in the office, quietly, steadily, faithfully reminding me
that I am more than who I am at work.
Smiling softly because I didn't realize just how much
she helps to center and ground me
until last week when she wasn't in the cabinet
waiting for me two mornings in a row.
